The Go-Betweens: Dublin, Olympia, 26th October 2000

So where do i start...I guess at the start...The band arrived out and blasted into Your Turn My Turn Grant sounding in fantastic form. I recognised Grants top from somewhere and was racking my brain as I stared up at Adele and Rob. Then it hit me like the gun on his top - wasnt it the sweater he wore on the cover of Friends of Rachel Worth... Magic In Here followed and there already was inside the Olympia ! Then Grant announced that Rob had a throat infection from last night in London and the crowd groaned...Rob smiled and Grant sang again (Can't remember what !)...Rob then song his first song but was frantically indicating to the backstage crew that he needed more volume...Three songs in and after a blast of some sort of peppermint he said that he'd got his voice back... The band sounded superb and a big crowd showed up (I reckon 1200 people). Highlights were "Danger...", "He lives..." ,"Spirit", the closing "one plus one" and "Apology Accepted" the latter Rob managing to use his guitar against an amp for feedback brilliantly...
